Irma Lillian Peever

Irma Lillian Peever passed away at the Owen Sound Hospital (GBHS) on March 8, 2023 with her children by her side. Irma was born July 12, 1929, in South Porcupine, daughter of the late George and Vera (Penson) Merritt.
Wife of the late Morris M. Peever, mother of Rick (Faye) of Wiarton, Gary (Jan) of Victoria B.C. and Linda Day (Donald) of Owen Sound.
Predeceased by her sister Noreen, and brothers Kenneth, Milton, Douglas and Harold. Survived by sisters-in-law Bernice Gale, Linda Merritt, and several nieces and nephews. Grandmother of Colin, Bradley, Shelly, Mary, Ben and Tim Peever; Gary and Tanya Peever; Michael and Angela Rennie; Kevin, Brian and Jason Day. Also survived by fourteen great grandchildren, and predeceased by great granddaughter, Brooklyn Morrissa Nickle.
Sincere ‘thank you’ to all the staff at Kelso Villa and the Third Floor Unit 1 at GBHS, especially Robin, for their care and compassion.
At Irma’s request there will be no funeral service, and a celebration of life will be planned for a later date. Interment will be at Powasson Union Cemetary, Powasson, Ontario.
