Diane’s family wishes to express their sincere gratitude to the staff at the Markdale Hospital for their kindness, support and care shown to Diane during her stay.
Diane was a beautiful soul and a loving, positive person. She cherished her big family get-togethers and watching her grandchildren at their sports and activities. Diane looked forward to going to Cuba every winter with Keith for 26 years and made many lifelong friends there. She also enjoyed taking care of her flowers and, more recently, feeding her birds. Diane’s career spanned 43 years at the TD Bank branches in Clarksburg, Meaford and Markdale, where many of her co-workers became her extended family.
Diane was an avid sports fan and never gave up on her beloved Blue Jays and Maple Leafs! As such, the family has requested that remembrances be made through Ferguson Funeral Home in the form of contributions to the minor sports associations in Meaford and Markdale.
Following a private funeral service in Meaford and interment at the Markdale Cemetery, her family will receive friends for a public celebration of Diane’s life on Friday, April 21, 2023 from 2 until 6 p.m. at the Flesherton Kinplex.
As your expression of sympathy, donations to the Georgian Shores Minor Hockey or the Markdale Minor Softball (Cheques Only or Etransfer – markdaleminorsoftball@gmail.com) would be appreciated and may be made through the Ferguson Funeral Home, 48 Boucher St. E., Meaford, ON N4L 1B9 to whom arrangements have been entrusted.
