Peacefully at her residence in London, Mona Eileen Rhoda Livingstone (nee Cronk), formerly of Markdale, on Thursday, May 11, 2023 in her 91st year. She is reunited with her beloved husband of 66 years, the late Wallace Albert (2015).
Loving mother of Sandra (Brian) Jackson of Markdale, Karen (Paul) Romanson and Fern Livingstone (Tim Pountney) all of London.
Proud grandmother of Scott (Entela) Jackson of Toronto, Carrie (Shawn) Grieg of Chatsworth, Shawn (Ariel) Jackson of St. Catherine’s, Alicia Romanson (Matt Schmidt) of London, Clayton (Laura) Romanson of London and Brady (Emily) Romanson of London, Katie Pountney-Regis (Aaron) of London and Jessica Livingstone-Pountney (Bilal Sheikh) of London.
Cherished great- grandmother of Kailey and Jackson Greig, Carter and Zoey Jackson, Evan and Carson Schmidt, Arlo and Vivian Romanson, Elsie Romanson and Finn Regis. Dear sister of Leverne (Marie) Cronk of Nanaimo, British Columbia and Delores Perry of British Columbia. Predeceased by her parents Leo & Margaret Cronk, brothers Henry Cronk of Calgary, Alberta and Duane Cronk of Keremeos, British Columbia and sister Kathleen Smith of Owen Sound.
Mona was born in Paddockwood Saskatchewan and then spent most of her growing years in Rosedale, BC. After marrying Wally in 1949 they moved to Ontario where they raised their 3 daughters Sandra, Karen, and Fern. They enjoyed family camping and were active in their church, Markdale Annesley United, as well as many community groups. They were considered, as the couple you could always count on to come and help. In their retirement years they enjoyed extensive world travels. Mona was a very talented seamstress (sought after in Markdale) and later enjoyed the art of crafting.
Mona was a lifetime member of The Order of the Eastern Star, Grey Chapter #170, and from the Grand Chapter of Ontario she was commissioned as the Grand Representative of the State of New York in the Province of Ontario from 1992-1994.
The family will receive friends at the Annesley United Church, Markdale on Monday, May 15 from 12:30 until the time of service at 2:00pm. Sisters and brothers of the Order of the Eastern Star, Grey Chapter #170, are called to assemble for service at 12:15pm. Interment at the Markdale Cemetery.
