The Owen Sound Visitor Centre is opening for the season today.
The service in the former Canadian National Railway Station building at 1155 1st Avenue West is open seven days a week from 9 a.m. to 5 p.m. from the Victoria Day weekend until Thanksgiving weekend in October.
There are tourism ambassadors at the centre to provide in-person assistance and information about Owen Sound and the surrounding area.
They help with trip planning, accommodations and bike rentals, as well as promotion of local events and activities.
The visitor centre also offers 2023 Owen Sound branded merchandise, and an outdoor picnic area in view of the harbour.
