The Municipality of Kincardine and the Walker House will be hosting three exhibits from the Legacy of Hope this summer.
From June 9th until September 2nd, the exhibits can be accessed for free at two locations in Kincardine.
A display by Youth on Reconciliation will be at the Welcome Centre in the Kincardine Centre for the Arts.
The Walker House, meanwhile, will host the other two exhibits focused on the cultural impact and erasure that was caused by residential schools.
The Legacy of Hope Foundation works to increase public awareness about challenges facing Indigenous Peoples, which also includes the effects of the residential school system.
The municipality also has activities planned throughout the month of June, which is National Indigenous History Month in Canada.
