The construction of a Staybridge Suites hotel will be moving ahead in Kincardine this summer.
The four-storey, 90-room hotel will be located at Highway 21 and Kincardine Avenue.
The new hotel will include a pool, exercise facilities, and kitchen comforts, which according to the Municipality of Kincardine will accommodate the transient workforce and visitors to the area.
There will also be accessibility and environmental features in its design, including:
– delineated barrier-free ramps, transitions, and exterior walkways
– accessible signage, parking, and entrances
– nine fully accessible suites
– screening and landscaping buffers
– electric vehicle charging stations
– outdoor living areas
The construction will be done in four phases on the 4.5-hectare, with Phases 1 and 2 focusing on the construction of the hotel, and Phases 3 and 4 looking to add retail and quick-serve restaurants.
The Staybridge Suites is the second development to move forward with site preparation and construction.
