Velma Catherine Keeling

Vel passed away peacefully at the Toronto General Hospital, on Thursday, June 29, 2023. Born on April 6, 1934, Velma Catherine Keeling (née Lourie) of Owen Sound, was in her 90th year.
Dearly loved wife and best friend of Tony Keeling for 68 years. Loving mother of Ann Keeling of Owen Sound. Dear sister of Doreen Lourie and sister-in-law of Cliff Keeling and Nancy Helwig. She will be missed by her nieces and nephews.
Predeceased by her parents, Duncan and Catherine Lourie, her siblings, Edgar Lourie and Gordon Lourie and her in-laws, Nora Keeling and Jim Keeling Jr.
A funeral service to celebrate Vel’s life will be held at the Historic Leith Church, on Wednesday, July 5, 2023 at 2:00 P.M. with Rev. Bill Bruce officiating. Visitation will be held one hour prior to the service. Interment will follow in Leith Cemetery.
