Arlene passed away peacefully with her loving family by her side at Chapman House Hospice on Thursday, July 6th, 2023. Born on September 22, 1936, Arlene Marie Kingwell (née Dippel) of Owen Sound, was in her 87th year.
Loving mother of Murray Kingwell (Sharon) of Brantford and Paul Kingwell (Evelyn), of Chatsworth. Proud grandmother of Christalyn (Daniel), Angela (Brock), Brad (Kirsten), Kevin (Stephanie) and great-grandmother of Gabby, Theo, Nevaeh, Beau, Abigail, Owen, Kayleigh, Clara, Allison and Jacob. Dear sister of Elmer Dippel (Margaret) and sister-in-law of Freida Dippel and Diane Dippel. Predeceased by her parents, Nelson and Verna Dippel (née Eydt) and her siblings, Orland Dippel, Eunice Dippel and Raymond Dippel.
Arlene loved gardening, painting and woodworking. She also taught music lessons. She was a bookkeeper for the family business “Kingwell Lawn and Power Equipment” until her retirement.
A funeral service to celebrate Arlene’s life will be held at the Rockcliffe Pentecostal Church, 10 4th Avenue West, Owen Sound on Monday, July 10, 2023 at 11:00 a.m. with Pastor Phil Smith officiating. Visitation will be held at the church one hour prior to the service.
