Mason, Gary – of Saugeen First Nation #29, peacefully at Grey Bruce Health Services Southampton on Thursday August 3, 2023. Robert Gary Mason at the age of 73 years. Dear brother of Marie Mason (late George), Gayle Mason-Stark (husband Bruce Stark), Ted Mason (Joanne), Elwood Mason, Margaret Lavallee (Thomas Kewageshig), Francis Krueger, Lorie (Darrell Jack), and Deanna Ingersol; and brother-in-law of Janice Mason, and Bonnie Mason. Sadly missed by his many nieces and nephews. Predeceased by his parents James Mason and Helen (nee Mandawaub); his best friend and partner, Doug Bignell (2022); brothers, Hilliard “Neeb” Besito. Phillip Mason, Alan Mason, and Matthew Mason; and sisters, Leona (David lawrence), and Shirley (Mel Elliott). Gary graduated from the University of Toronto with a B.A. in Social Work; and used this education to service as the Administrator of Child Social Services of Saugeen First Nation #29 for 51 years.
Cremation has taken place. A graveside Celebration of Life will be held on Tuesday August 8, 2023 at 2 o’clock at the Saugeen Village Cemetery, Saugeen First Nation #29. Donations to the Canadian Diabetes Association or to the Heart and Stroke Foundation would be appreciated. Arrangements entrusted to the Thomas C.
