A new top executive has been chosen to lead the region’s largest hospital organization.
Ann Ford will be the next president and CEO of Grey Bruce Health Services, succeeding Gary Sims who is retiring in a couple of months.
Ford will be assuming the role in late October.
She comes to GBHS with over 30 years of executive healthcare leadership experience, and is currently the Executive Vice President of Corporate Services and Integrated Health Systems at William Osler Health System, which serves Brampton and Etobicoke.
GBHS Board of Director Chair Jo Flewwelling says they are pleased Ford will be joining GBHS as the next president and CEO.
“Ann is a transformational leader with the vision and expertise to take the lead on the implementation of our strategy and development plans,” says Flewwelling. “Ann’s experience in project development and working with stakeholders serving both large and small communities is an excellent fit for GBHS and our broad geography of rural and multi-site healthcare.”
Ford joins GBHS as the healthcare organization opens a new hospital in Markdale and the Wellness and Recovery Centre in Owen Sound.
Sims will continue his role until Nov. 3 to ensure a seamless transition.
