Colleen Rae Hutchinson

Peacefully, with her loving family by her side at Southbridge Care Home in Owen Sound on August 24, 2023. Born in St. Catharines on May 17, 1930, Colleen Rae Hutchinson (nee More), was in her 94th year.
Loving mother of Ruth Hutchinson of Owen Sound, Harry Hutchinson (Beth) of Owen Sound, Carol Clark of Chatsworth, Linda Hamill of Owen Sound, Julie Watson of Coldwater, and Scott Hutchinson (Cathey) of Owen Sound. Cherished Nana of 16, Great-Gran-Nana of 35, and Great-Great-Gran-Nana of four. Dear sister of Julie Gill, and Karen Ross (Malcolm) all of St. Catharines. Colleen will also be missed by many nieces, nephews, and friends.
Predeceased by her dear friend Gord Woods, sons-in-law Wayne Gallaugher, Gary Watson, Gary Ricketts, and Reg Gobert, brother Ron More, and by her brother-in-law Leonard Gill.
Colleen was a proud life-long member of the Ladies’ Auxiliary and spent countless hours giving her time and skills to her local Owen Sound Branch 6. She was a friendly face behind the register at the old Dominion and Mr. Grocer grocery store. Colleen was an avid card player and loved many games including Pepper and Euchre. She also loved camping, spending time with family and friends, and doting over her adored grandchildren.
Visitation will be held at Brian E. Wood Funeral Home, 250 14th St. W., Owen Sound, 519-376-7492, on Sunday, August 27th from 2-4 p.m. (with a Branch 6 Ladies’ Auxiliary service at 2 p.m.). Visitation will continue August 28th from 1 p.m. until the time of Colleen’s funeral service at 2 p.m., with Rev. Kathy Underwood officiating. A reception will immediately follow. The service will be livestreamed via the funeral home website for those who are unable to attend.
