Mary Josephine Barlow (nee Latronico), formerly of RR#6 Markdale, passed away with her family by her side at the Hanover and District Hospital on Saturday, October 14th, 2023 in her 84th year.
Loved wife of the late Clifford A. Barlow. Loving mother of Rod Barlow and his wife Wendy of Oakville, Debbie and her husband Ron Petch of Markdale, Doug Barlow and his wife Diane of Markdale, Don Barlow and his wife Georgina of Hanover, and Jason Barlow and his wife Terri of Markdale. Proud grandmother of Chelsea, Crystal (Ryan), Steven (Danielle), Tyler (Brie), Kyle (Ashley), Aaron (Danielle), Brett (Alexx), Brandon (Gillian), Jessie (Ethan), Brady (Teagan), and Hayley. Great-grandmother of Claire, Kendra, Colton, Josie, Zoey, Hunter, Colby, Carter, Ana, Ceci, Maeve, Briar, and Remi. Dear sister of Mae Harrison, and Murray Latronico and his wife Donna. She will be missed by her nieces, nephews, family and friends.
Predeceased by her parents Bill and Jean Latronico, her sisters Doreen Ruttan, and Linda McDonald, and her brothers Wilford Latronico, and Ross Latronico.
Mary loved hockey, especially watching her husband and sons play, and she and Cliff enjoyed attending Owen Sound Attack games. She loved her family, and she couldn’t wait to see her grandchildren and great-grandchildren.
A funeral service celebrating Mary’s life will be held at the Durham Legion, 271 Bruce Street North, Durham on Thursday, October 19th at 11 a.m., with visitation prior to the service from 9:30 – 10:45 a.m. Cremation to follow with a private interment at Markdale Cemetery. As an expression of sympathy, memorial donations to the Canadian Cancer Society or CNIB would be appreciated by the family. Arrangements entrusted to the McCulloch-Watson Funeral Home, Durham.
