Brian Adam James Bumstead

It is with great sadness we announce Brian’s passing on Thursday, October 26, 2023 at Brightshores Health System, Owen Sound just shy of his 36th birthday.
He is the beloved son of Coreen (John) Jones of Markdale and Glen (Gail) Bumstead of Hanover. Dear brother of Lisa (Clayton Kalbfleisch) of Markdale, Megan of Hanover and step-brother of Corrie (Alex) McLellan of Georgetown, Jimmy Jones of Mississauga and Dusti Rose(John) Bovin of Port Loring. Cherished grandson of Harold (Lois) Bumstead of Owen Sound and Shirley (the late Lloyd) Fisher of Markdale. He will be missed by many aunts, uncles, nieces, nephews and cousins. He will be deeply missed by his furry companions; Missy and Maggie.
Brian was born November 19, 1987 in Owen Sound, Ontario. He graduated from Beavercrest Elementary School in Markdale and then from Grey Highlands Secondary School in 2005. Brian was well known and well-loved for his compassion and kind soul. Many may remember him from his part time job at Markdale Foodland, which he was proud of for the last 8 years. Brian had many passions; fishing, wrestling, heavy metal concerts, but his greatest love was animals.
The family will receive friends at Fawcett Funeral Cremation Reception, Flesherton on Wednesday, November 1st from 11:00am until 1:00pm. A private family service will follow. Cremation has taken place and Brian will be laid to rest in the spring at Markdale Cemetery. If desired, memorial contributions to South East Grey Support Services would be greatly appreciated.
