Inter Township Fire Chief Jeff Gautreau says no one was injured in a house fire just outside Owen Sound on Friday.
He says 32 Inter Township firefighters responded to the blaze on 4th Avenue Southwest in Georgian Bluffs — near Greenwood Cemetery — around 5 p.m.
The cause of the fire is under investigation and there is no damage estimate.
“Upon arrival to the fire, we had heavy smoke and fire at one end of the building and it was actually a very quick knock down to prevent any further damage,” says Gautreau. “Most of it was contained to the kitchen and dinning room area.”
Firefighters were on the scene for about three hours.
