The Owen Sound Krueger Steel U19 Northstars girls had two tough rain-soaked losses to start the season in Waterloo on May 25th. The team lost to Orillia 2 by a score of 8-2, with our goals coming from Aliviah McCall and Ryann Seaman. Next up was an 8-3 loss to Oakville where Ella McCoubrey had a pair of goals and Aliviah McCall chipped in with a single.
The girls play next the morning of June 1st during our hosting weekend in Owen Sound at the Kiwanis Soccer Complex with matchups against Guelph and Mimico 2.

The Owen Sound John Shute Optometry U9 girls won one game and tied one game in Ontario’s Women’s Field Lacrosse league play Sunday in Kitchener Waterloo. The team defeated Orillia 11-4 with goals scored by Isabelle Barefoot (3), Shantae (Tae) Wilson (4), Faye Burnett-Scott (2) and Jaida Kazarian and Piper Coburn picking up singles. The second game against Kawartha ended in a tie with goals scored by Tae (6), Isabelle (3), Grace Boyd (1) and Danielle Adair (1). The entire team worked together to create the scoring opportunities that resulted in a very successful first day of play.
The team is next in action Sunday, June 23 in St. Catherines.
