Peacefully at home on Friday May 31, 2024, with her family by her side. Born in Owen Sound on August 27, 1932, Joyce Doreen McLean (nee Nicholson) of Owen Sound, was in her 92nd year.
Loving mother of Julia Ramage (Tom) of Owen Sound, Jeffrey McLean (Michelle) of Owen Sound, Cheryl Cunningham (Russ) of Keady, Patricia Munro (Dave) of Owen Sound and Christopher McLean (Kristi) of Owen Sound. Cherished grandma of Amy, Annette, Matthew, Alana, Kristen, Anneesa, Kurtis, Victoria, Graham, Alexandra, Morgan, Avery and Eden. Great Grandma to 15 great grandchildren. Joyce will also be missed by many nieces, nephews, family and friends.
Predeceased by her husband Harvey William McLean, parents Leo & Dorothy Nicholson (nee Eden), brothers Bill, Jim & Ted.
Proud member of the Twilight club of St. Thomas Anglican Church and the Royal Canadian Legion Ladies Auxiliary Branch #6, Owen Sound.
A funeral service to celebrate Joyce’s life will be held at Brian E. Wood Funeral Home, 250 14th St. W., Owen Sound, 519-376-7492, on Friday, June 7, 2024 at 12:00 p.m., with visitation from 10:30 a.m. to service time, followed by a reception at the Royal Canadian Legion Branch #6, Owen Sound. For those unable to attend in person, a recorded version will be posted online. As expressions of sympathy, memorial donations to Royal Canadian Legion Ladies Auxiliary Branch # 6, Owen Sound or a charity of choice would be appreciated.
