Bruce County is sharing safety tips ahead of deer hunting season.
The hunting season is from November 4-10th.
Hunters and trail users are reminded to take steps to keep safe.
The county advises that trail users should avoid the trails at dawn and dusk, as well as anytime that visibility is limited, wear high-visibility clothing or hunter orange clothing, and keep pets leashed while within county forests.
Hunters, meanwhile, are advised to not hunt along trails during times when people are out enjoying the trails, to not shoot unless absolutely certain of their target, and be familiar with local hunting regulations and bylaws, including which forests prohibit hunting.
