Passed away peacefully at Woods Park Care Centre, Barrie on Thursday, November 7, 2024 at the age of 96.
Muriel Turner (nee Martin), beloved wife of the late Douglas. Loving mom of Darrell (Wendy), Dwight (Ruth), Blaine (Lee), Terry (the late Susan) and Kevin. Grandmother of Drew, Alex, Megan (Kyle), Sarah (Nathan), Sean (Brittany), Dara, Darcy, Carly (Drew), Kayleigh and Harrison. Great-grandmother of Colson, Luke, Isabella, Wyatt, Savannah and Eloise. Step-grandmother of Shaun, Corey, Alyssa & Richard. Step-great-grandmother of Nicholas, Olive, Hayden and Alex. Lovingly remembered by daughter-in-law Connie. Survived by sisters-in-law Kristine Martin and Iowna Turner.
Predeceased by her infant son Shawn and her brothers Everett Martin and John Martin.
The family will receive friends at the Jack & Thompson Funeral Home, 318 Main St. E., Shelburne on Monday, November 11, 2024 from 7-9 p.m. A private funeral service will take place. Interment at Shelburne Cemetery. If desired, donations to Trinity United Church, the Alzheimer Society or Diabetes Canada would be appreciated.
