Ross Edwin Davidson

Passed away peacefully with his family by his side at the London Health Science Centre – University Hospital on Friday, November 29th, 2024. Born in Amabel Township on August 4th, 1935. Ross Edwin Davidson was in his 90th year.
Beloved husband of Elsie Davidson (nee Taylor) of Tara, Ontario for 67 years.
Loving father of Kim Hill (Andrew), Steven Davidson (Kerri Sutherland), and father-in-law of Wayne Dillon. Brother of Gerald (Jean), Betty McKessock (Bob), Merv, Wayne (Bonnie Jean). Brother-in-law of Joyce Taylor. Cherished grandpa of Shawn (Shannon), Kayley (Kenrick), Mitch (Dessana), Duncan (Layluma), Michael, Matthew, Callum (Sydney), great grandchildren Aiden, Isla, Dalanie, Dalila, Hunter and Riley. Ross will also be missed by many nieces, nephews, family and friends.
Predeceased by his parents Melvin and Mona Davidson, his daughter Nancy Anne Dillon, his brothers-in-law Paul Fitter and Arden Garrity, and his sister-in-law Fern Davidson.
Ross found joy restoring and repairing antique cars, tractors and clocks. He was always quick to lend a hand to help fix or repair anything for anyone. He was also devoted to having communion at Tara Motors. Ross was a member of the Royal Canadian Legion Branch #383 in Tara, and a member of the Bluewater Car Club. In his younger years Ross enjoyed fishing trips with his friends.
A funeral service to celebrate Ross’s life will be held at Brian E. Wood Funeral Home, 250 14th St. West, Owen Sound, 519-376-7492 on Thursday, December 5th at 1:00 p.m., with visitation two hours prior. Followed by a reception at the funeral home. Interment will take place in Hillcrest Cemetery in the spring.
