Born in Toronto, a daughter of the late Mike and Mary (Slabodian) Kozma, Ann passed away in the presence of loving family in Owen Sound on Thursday August 13, 2020 at the age of 80.
A longtime resident of Meaford and the former St. Vincent Township, Ann was predeceased by her beloved husband David Shaw in 2011.
She is remembered as the devoted ‘Mom’ of sons Daniel of Meaford and Brian of Caledonia, and daughters Karen of Burk’s Falls and Linda of North Vancouver, B.C. and by their loving families – grandchildren Andrew and Jennifer, Gini and Ainsley, and Zachary, Hillary and Ally and great-grandchildren Dani, Taelum and Hayden, Brody and Cohen, Fallon and June, and Isla and Easton. A great-granddaughter Ellie predeceased Ann.
Ann is also survived by a sister Bev Rintoul and was predeceased by three sisters and three brothers and will be remembered by several nieces and nephews and their families.
Friends may call at the Ferguson Funeral Home, 48 Boucher St. E., Meaford on Monday August 17th from 2:30 until 4:00. A private family interment will take place at Lakeview Cemetery, Meaford on Tuesday August 18th.
If so desired and as your expression of sympathy, remembering Ann and her late husband David and their love of music and children, donations to the “Financial Assistance Program” providing needed assistance for student music trips or the “Music Program” of Georgian Bay Community School would be appreciated and may be made directly to the Bluewater District School Board (BWDSB) or through the Ferguson Funeral Home, 48 Boucher St. E., Meaford N4L 1B9 to whom arrangements were entrusted.
