It is with great sadness that the family of Alfred Frank Fromager announces his passing on Thursday March 4, 2021 at the age of 87. Alfie passed away peacefully with his devoted wife of 69 years, Gladys (nee Stephens), by his side. Grieving their loving father are his children Bonnie Long (Bryan), David (Donna) Fromager, Deborah Court (Kerry), Darren (Lisa) Fromager, Della Stewart, and Deedee Rouse. He was the cherished grandfather to twelve grandchildren, six great-grandchildren, and one great-great grandchild. He will sadly missed by his sister Sonya Moore of Guelph, his sister-in-law Marjorie Hewitt of London, and his many nieces and nephews. Predeceased by his parents Frank and Hilda (nee Karn) Fromager, brother Neil, son Alfie Jr., infant son Dennis, grandson Broddie, parents-in-law David and Florence Stephens, in-laws Joe Moore, Jack Hewitt, Thelma Wright and Jack Wright.
The family would like to take this opportunity to express appreciation to the doctors, nurses and staff at GBHS (Owen Sound and Meaford) and the staff at Kelso Pines for the excellent care they took of Alfie over the past few weeks. We also want to extend our sincere gratitude to all in the community and surrounding area who supported Alfie’s music career throughout the many years. It is a source of great comfort to us knowing he was so well loved. Thank you all so much!
Cremation has taken place and a Celebration of Life will be held at a later date when it is safe to do so. He will be buried with his two sons at Greenwood Cemetery in the spring. Online condolences may be made at www.greybrucecremation.com.
