Ab Lipsett passed away peacefully after a two year battle with cancer on Sunday, March 21, 2021 surrounded by the love of family and the gentle care at Chapman House Hospice in Owen Sound.
He was born on the Irish Block in Sydenham Township on October 9, 1933; Albert ‘Ab’ was the eldest son of the late Albert and Elsie (nee Hood) Lipsett. He was the much loved brother of Cliff Lipsett (late Gail), Donna Shortt (Jim), and was predeceased by his sister Jacquleen Hendry (late Eric). Ab was predeceased by his beloved wife of more than 36 years, Lois (nee Saunders) Lipsett, in 2005. He will be fondly remembered and missed by his partner Linda Crandall. He was the proud step father of seven children and many grandchildren and great grandchildren.
God must have needed a special angel when he called on Ab, an honest, hardworking man, capable at many trades, farming, carpentry, snowplowing and gardening. He helped so many people in so many ways. Ab will be missed by all who knew him.
A private family service will be conducted at Lakeview Cemetery in Meaford.
