It is with great sadness that we announce the passing of Kenneth Marshall Newman at his home on April 8th, 2021 after a courageous battle of cancer. Dearly loved husband and best friend of the late Gwen Newman (nee Long) (2019) for 54 years. Loving father of Brian Newman, of Chatsworth and Sandra MacKinnon (Brad), of Owen Sound. Proud and cherished papa of Jessica and Addison. Dear brother of Robert Newman, of Calgary and Anne McCallum (Al), of Owen Sound. Ken will be sadly missed by his many nieces, nephews, cousins, neighbours and friends. Predeceased by his parents, Marshall and Bessie Newman, his sister, Lillian Packer, his parents-in-law, William and Maysie Long; his in-laws, Marie Newman, Jim, Gord, Bob, Mel, Roy, Marjorie and Betty Long. Ken’s passion was family, farming, hunting, horseracing, his animals and his dogs, Sandy and Harley. He was a quiet, kind and patient man that was always willing to offer a hand to anyone. He was a man that was always working whether it be at the Great Lake Elevators for 30 plus years or driving tractors working the fields. Friends may call at the BRIAN E.
