January 16, 1929 – December 23, 2024
It is with great sadness the family of Albert McConnell announce his peaceful passing at Owen Sound Hospital, on Monday December 23, 2024.
Loving husband of 59 years to Irene McConnell (nee Mills) who predeceased him in 2012. Dear father of Judy Pringle (Bob), Keith McConnell, Karl McConnell (Anne), Diane Flannery (James) and Mark McConnell (Joyce). Sadly missed by 11 grandchildren and 3 step-grandchildren. Also survived by daughter-in-law Jo-Anne McConnell, and by his many loving great-grandchildren, nieces and nephews, family and friends. Predeceased by daughter-in-law Shelley McConnell (nee Osadzuk), his parents Richard and Orvilla McConnell (nee Bumstead), and siblings Gordon McConnell (Eileen), Thelma Genoe (Carmen), Marjorie Vokes (Ken), Rosalie Moore (Elwood), June Cruickshank (Wilmer), and Mary McConnell.
A private family Funeral Service will be held at Kilsyth United Church. Spring interment Greenwood Cemetery, Owen Sound.
