Petroff, Alex – of Lion’s Head, peacefully at GBHS Southampton on Saturday June 26, 2021 at the age of 91 years. Loving husband and best friend of Shirley (nee Moore) for 68 years. Devoted father of Stephen, of Toronto, Thomas, of Lion’s Head, Richard, of Lions Head, and Marianne Petroff (husband Mark Bradshaw), of Toronto. Cherished grandfather of Jordan, Denin, Chase, Nicole, and Ella; and great-grandfather of Natalie, and Carter. Sadly missed by his brother-in-law, Bob Rouse (Leanne); and his nieces and nephews. Predeceased by his parents, Jim and Annie; brother, Boris; brothers-in-law, Frank Moore and Alfred Moore; and sister-in-law Betty Rouse. Alex was a licensed private pilot from the age of 18 & enjoyed 37 years of retirement on the Bruce peninsula. A 30-year member of the Lions Club & avid musician & accordion player enjoying many performances over the years from the Golden Dawn and local legions to parties too numerous to mention. Thanks to the many nurses & doctors of GBHS Southampton for their compassion and care. A Celebration of Life service will be announced at a later date.
