Alice Willemina Vander Ploeg

Peacefully at Lee Manor with her family at her side, on Saturday, June 1, 2024. Born in The Netherlands on March 1, 1935, Alice Willemina Vander Ploeg (nee Vlielander) of Owen Sound, was in her 90th year.
Beloved wife of the late Ralph Vander Ploeg. Loving mother of Sid Vander Ploeg of Wiarton, Audrey Vander Ploeg (Harold) of Barrie, Arlene Vander Ploeg (Nick) of Hepworth, Jenny Vander Ploeg (Jim) of Wiarton, Wilma Vander Ploeg of Owen Sound, and Jeff Vander Ploeg of Owen Sound. Cherished grandma of Allison, Dan, Katie, Cholena and Elijah. Dear sister of Leonard Vlielander (Linda). Alice will also be missed by many nieces, nephews and friends.
Predeceased by her parents Jacob and Adrianna Vlielander, and by her brother Corny Vlielander.
The family would like to extend a heartfelt thank you to Dr. Collins and the staff of Lee Manor for their exceptional care of our mom.
Visitation will be held at Brian E. Wood Funeral Home, 250 14th St. W., Owen Sound, 519-376-7492, on Wednesday, June 5, 2024, from 7-9 p.m. A private funeral service to celebrate Alice’s life will be held at a later date.
