Andrew went to be with his Heavenly family peacefully on October 13, 2023, after battling a long illness, in the Owen Sound Regional Hospital, surrounded by his loving family.Born on February 17, 1980 in Guelph, Ontario, Andrew Charles de Vries was in his 44th year.
Beloved son of Derk (Dick) and Susann de Vries of Tara, Ontario, and big brothers Martin (Sherri) of Belgrave, Ontario and Christopher of Hanover, Ontario and his dearly loved daughter, Madelin Fountain. Also survived by his maternal Grandmother Joan Webster of Guelph, Ontario.
Andrew’s wise-guy cracks, genuine care for those in his life and his big heart will be deeply missed by his family and friends.
Visitation will be held at Brian E. Wood Funeral Home, 250 14th St. W., Owen Sound, 519-376-7492, on Wednesday, October 18th, from 11 a.m. until the time of his funeral service at 1 p.m. Interment will take place in Greenwood Cemetery followed by a reception at the funeral home.
