Anne passed peacefully in her sleep at Central Place Retirement Home in Owen Sound on Friday, September 1st, 2023 in her 100th year.
Born in St. Vincent Township on January 7, 1924, a daughter of the late Annie Elizabeth Free and William Ford.
Anne was predeceased by her beloved husband, Harry Yeadell, in 2016.
She was the devoted mother of Laurie Yeadell of Alberta and Myrna Young (Lorne Henry) of Owen Sound.
Anne was predeceased by her siblings; Edith Ford, Fred Ford, Frank Ford, Mel Ford, Jim Ford, Elsie Caesar, Cecil Ford, and will be remembered fondly by many nieces, nephews, and their families.
Anne farmed happily by her husband’s side in the Rocklyn area for 40 years. She liked to keep busy and knitting socks for others was one of her favourite pastimes. Anne and Harry spent many years camping with the Gypsy Campers and travelling around enjoying entertainment; they loved music and dancing. For 25 years, during the colder months, they would go south to Florida. Church was very important to Anne, and she loved catching up with family and friends.
A funeral service will be conducted at the Ferguson Funeral Home in Meaford on Thursday, September 7, 2023 at 11 o’clock with visiting the hour prior to service. A service of committal and interment will take place at Lakeview Cemetery in Meaford.
