Peacefully at Victoria Hospital in London on Wednesday, January 22, 2025. Born in Owen Sound on March 3, 1944, Anthony James Martin of Owen Sound was in his 81st year.
Beloved husband for 56 years of Fay Martin (nee Jackson) of Owen Sound. Loving father of Tina McFeat (Stu) of Mississauga, Kimberly Collins (Rob) of Minnesota and Michael Martin (Jana) of Owen Sound. Cherished grandpa of Max, Chase, Brooke, Axel, Joelle, Tyson and Brody, and of chosen grandchildren Jayme and Cody Cox. Dear brother of Theresa Daley of Vancouver. Tony will also be missed by his nieces, nephews and friends.
Predeceased by his parents, Jim and Angela Martin, and brother Jack Martin.
Tony worked for 45 years in Real Estate including 25 years as an appraiser. He was a past president of the Owen Sound Real Estate Board, as well as past president and the last remaining original member of Blue Water Curling Club. Tony loved spending time at the hockey rink and managed all of Mike’s teams. He was also a long-time season ticket holder of the Owen Sound Platers / Attack.
In keeping with Tony’s wishes, cremation is taking place, and a celebration of life will be held at Blue Water Curling Club, 651 19th St. E., Owen Sound, on Saturday, April 19, 2025, from 2:00 – 4:00 PM. Arrangements are entrusted to Brian E. Wood Funeral Home, Owen Sound, 519-376-7492.
