Betty passed away peacefully with her loving family by her side at Grey Bruce Health Services, Owen Sound, on November 5, 2022. Born on February 17, 1934 Betty Elaine Bryans (nee Scott) was in her 89th year.
Beloved wife of the late Harold Beverley ‘Bev’ Bryans. Loving mother of Paul (Barb), Kathy (Hardie Fountain), Susan (Wade Johnston), Joan, Mike (Donna), and Karen. Cherished Grandma of Jesse, Jake, Melissa (Jeff), Lindsay (Darwin), Shauna, Kristal (Jayson), Steven, Nicole (Jeff), and Jessica (John). Loving Great Grandma of Sabrina, Jolie, Madelin, Hawksley, Kingston, Noxon, Hudson, and Austin. Dear sister of Gayle (Dave) Armstrong, and sister-in-law of Wilbur (Mary) Bryans, Mavis Bryans, Vincent Bryans, and Evelyn Snowdon. Betty will also be missed by her many nieces, nephews and friends.
Predeceased by her husband Bev (July 2010) and son Brent (April 2016), parents Wilmer and Louise Scott, parents-in-law Stanley and Hazel Bryans, step-mother-in-law Ruby Bryans, brother Frank (Ev) Scott, and by her brothers and sisters-in-law Milton (Millie) Bryans, Howard Bryans, Ruth Bryans, Ivan (Caroline) Bryans, Stuart Snowdon, and Clarence (Violet) Bryans.
Betty’s visitation will be held at Brian E. Wood Funeral Home 250 14th St. W., Owen Sound, 519-376-7492 on Thursday, November 10, 2022 from 6:00 to 9:00 p.m. and also on Friday, November 11, 2022 from 12 noon until the funeral service at 1:00 p.m. Interment in Greenwood Cemetery followed by a reception at the funeral home.
