Peacefully at Grey Bruce Health Services, Owen Sound, on July 21, 2022. Born in Sydenham Township on January 11, 1931, Betty Ruth Gunn (née Stevens) of Owen Sound, was in her 92nd year.
Loving mother of Joan Barfoot (Bill), Darlene Johnston (Bradey), Glenda Green (Bruce), and Nancy Power (Brian). Cherished grandma of Amy Nicol (Greg), Matthew Barfoot (Laura), Alicia Lesperance, April VanEck (Adam), Brandon Johnston (Kristen), Justin Green (Emma), Steven Green (Miranda), Ryan Power (Kelly), Ashley Power, and great-grandma of Zachary Nicol, Colin Nicol, Anderson Barfoot, Cameron Barfoot, Ashlyn Lesperance, Benjamin Lesperance, Connor Lesperance, Morgan VanEck, Emma VanEck, Randi-Lynn Johnston, Brayden Johnston, Callie Green, Levi Green, Sam Power, and Leo Power. Dear sister of Isabel Porter, and Myrtle Kidd (George). Betty will also be fondly remembered by her extended ‘Gunn’ family members, nieces, nephews and friends.
Predeceased by her husband Howard Gunn, parents Clifford and Millie Stevens, sister Josephine Cruickshank and her husband Melville, her brother David Stevens and his wife Kathleen, and by her brother-in-law Norman Porter.
A private service to celebrate Betty’s life will be held with interment at Annan Cemetery. Arrangements are entrusted to Brian E. Wood Funeral Home, Owen Sound, 519-376-7492.
