Carol Ann Nickason

Passed away peacefully with her family by her side, at Brightshores Health System in Southampton, on Thursday, October 24th, 2024. Born in Owen Sound on Monday, January 18, 1954, Carol Ann Nickason (née Long) of Allenford, was in her 71st year.
Beloved wife and best friend of Ryan Nickason for 50 years. Loving mother of Rodney (Melissa) and Julie-Ann (Craig). Cherished grandmother of Kaitlyn, Spencer Bella, Cole and Carter. Dear sister of Paul Long. Carol will also be missed by her nieces, nephews, family and friends.
Predeceased by her parents Gordon and Marguerite Long (née Hill), and her brother Bill Long.
Visitation will be held at Brian E. Wood Funeral Home, Owen Sound, 519-376-7492 on Sunday, October 27, 2024 from 1-4 p.m. A funeral service to celebrate Carol’s life will be held at the funeral home on Monday, October 28, 2024 at 11 a.m. with visitation one hour prior. Rev. Gerry Hofstetter will be officiating the service, followed by a reception at the funeral home. Interment will take place in Hillcrest Cemetery.
