Charlanne Rose Milroy of Port Elgin passed peacefully at Georgian Heights Long Term Care Centre in Owen Sound, early Sunday morning, August 21st, 2022, after a long and brave battle with Alzheimer’s Disease.
Dearly loved Wife of Kent Milroy for 33 years. Cherished Mom of Alana Harrison-Bonnett of Port Elgin and stepmom of Laura Milroy and Gord Debbert of Kitchener, Robin Milroy and David MacKinnon of Chatsworth, and Alan Milroy and his wife Lisa of Toronto. Proud Gramma of Tiana Bonnett and her fiancé Greg McCulloch, Shaylene Bonnett and Callum Bonnett, all of Port Elgin, Aiden Milroy and Kiera Milroy, both of Toronto, and Melissa MacKinnon of Chatsworth. Sister-in-law of Wayne and Cindy Milroy of Cobourg. Remembered fondly by her “Mexican daughter” Maria Claudia Mucino, of Leon, Guanajuato, Mexico. Predeceased by her parents Anne and Charles Watts, her brother Jack Watts, and her sister and brother-in-law Sandra and David Anderson, all formerly of Welland.
Visitation for Charlanne will be held at Port Elgin United Church, 840 Bruce St., Port Elgin from 2-4 p.m. and 7-9 p.m. on Wednesday August 24th, 2022. Funeral service will be conducted in the church sanctuary on Thursday, August 25th, 2022 at 1p.m. with Rev. Dr. John Smith and Rev. Gerry Hofstetter officiating. Interment to follow at the Sanctuary Park Cemetery, Port Elgin. Arrangements are entrusted to Brian E. Wood Funeral Home, Owen Sound, 519-376-7492.
