Christopher Robert Chadder, 55, of Toronto and formerly of Meaford, passed away peacefully at North York General Hospital surrounded by his family on Saturday, July 24, 2021 after some recent health complications.
Beloved husband of Lynn Chadder (nee Cramp), loving father of Phillip and Stephanie Chadder. Son of Ruthann Zinkan (Peter) and the late Robert Chadder. Son-in-law of Verla and Ivan Cramp-White. Brother of Merrilee Stoll (Oliver) and remembered fondly by his nieces Savannah and Dahlia Stoll. Brother-in-law of Steven Cramp (Julie Cain) and uncle of Olivia Vasey.
Chris, a Chartered Accountant, was a Chief Financial Officer in the metals and mining industry for much of his professional career, having worked for a number of junior mining companies. His true passion, however, was reflected in anything that involved craftsmanship, tools, electrical and construction. He often commented he should have been an engineer as drafting project sketches and seeing them to fruition were some of the most enjoyable experiences for him.
Chris was a proud and loving father to Phillip and Stephanie who devoted his life to providing them with every opportunity to excel in school, sports, and their early professional careers. Chris enjoyed spending many a day at the rink watching hockey games, going on family ski trips and scouring the lake for calm water to go waterskiing. He will be fondly remembered for his adventurous spirit, echoing laughter and huge smile at every proud moment. Chris will always hold a special place in our lives, full of memories of the ways he shaped our futures, guiding us to be the people we are today.
