DOHERTY, ANNABELLE ELIZABETH

Annabelle passed away peacefully at the Meaford Long Term Care Centre with her children by her side on Thursday, April 14, 2022 at the age of 84.
Born in Meaford on December 8, 1937, she was a daughter of the late Henry and Martha (nee Carefoot) May.
Annabelle was predeceased by her husband Lorne Doherty in 2006.
She was the much loved mother of Geoff Doherty (Marianne) of Cherry Valley, Chris Doherty (Suzanne Gill) of Kitchener, Lori Sheridan (Rick) of Angus, and was predeceased by her son Bradley Doherty and daughter-in-law Sharon, her daughter Margaret Melnychuk and will be remembered fondly by her son-in-law Terry of Meaford.
Annabelle will never be forgotten by her many grandchildren, great grandchildren, nieces, nephews and their families.
Annabelle worked for many years as a nurse at the Meaford General Hospital and then enjoyed caring for others by providing home nursing. She was a very hard worker and also took great pride in her appearance, and had a special lipstick for every occasion.
A private family service will be conducted at Christ Church Anglican with interment following at Lakeview Cemetery in Meaford.
