With her loving family by her side at Gateway Haven, Wiarton on Monday, January 3, 2022. Born in Mimico on December 31, 1928, Dolly Jean Schneider (formerly Cameron) (née Henderson) of Owen Sound, was in her 94th year.
Loving wife of the late Arnold Schneider (2012). Loving mother of BJ Davidson (Wayne) of RR#3 Allenford, Lou Cameron (Ken McMillan) of Toronto, Don Cameron (Mary Louise) of Owen Sound, and stepmother of Dennis Schneider (Margaret), Patricia Westerhout (Tim Widmeyer), and stepmother-in-law of Helen Schneider. Cherished grandma of Wayne Miller, Jennifer Davidson, Joseph Davidson, Michelle Priebe (Matt), Bryan Frazer (Emily), and great-grandma of Austin Socarras, Jacob Davidson, Liam Priebe, Wyatt Priebe and Hudson Frazer. Doll will also be missed by her sister-in-law Pat Henderson and by her step-grandchildren, step-great-grandchildren, nieces, nephews and many long-time friends.
Predeceased by her mother Mabel Henderson, brothers Walter Henderson, Gordon Henderson (Gladys), and by her stepson Dan Schneider.
A memorial service to celebrate Doll’s life will be held at the Brian E. Wood Funeral Home in Owen Sound on Saturday, April 23, 2022, at 11:00 a.m., with visitation a half hour prior. The service can be viewed via livestream from the funeral home website and a recorded version will be posted to Doll’s memorial webpage. Rev. Ted Creen from St. Andrew’s Presbyterian Church officiating. A reception will be held at the funeral home followed by interment in Hanover Cemetery.
