Glover, Donald “Don” “Donnie” – of Wiarton, peacefully at Chapman House Owen Sound on Wednesday November 18, 2020.
Donald Stewart Glover at the age of 81 years. Dear husband to Eleanor (nee Playford) for 59 years. Proud father of Catherine (Dan Wettlaufer), and Karen (Jim Omand), both of Kitchener, and Gord (Lindsey), of Hepworth.
Cherished grandfather of Courtney, Jordan, and Cassidy Wettlaufer, Cheyanne and Tara Omand, and Cameron and Clayton Glover. Sadly missed by his sister Marlene McGarvey (late Doug), of South Bruce Peninsula; brothers-in-law Bill Playford (Andrea), and Brian Playford; and his nieces and nephews. Predeceased by his parents, Stewart and Jean; and sister-in-law Doris Bradshaw.
Don was a proud member of Spirit Rock Lodge #312 IOOF, Wiarton for 59 years.
Family wish to express their gratitude to the doctors, nurses and staff of the Wiarton hospital, Summit Place, Owen Sound hospital, and Chapman House for the wonderful care given to Don.
Visitation will take place from the Thomas C. Whitcroft Peninsula Chapel, 272 Berford St., Wiarton (519) 534-5341 on Friday November 20, 2020 from 2:00 – 4:00 and 7:00 – 9:00 p.m. Due to COVID-19 restrictions, 50 people will be allowed in the building at any given time and visitors are required to wear face covering and follow physical distancing rules.
A Private Funeral Service for Don will be held in the chapel on Saturday. Spring interment in Balsam Grove Cemetery, Oliphant. Donations to Chapman House would be appreciated. Condolences may be expressed online at www.whitcroftfuneralhome.com
