Peacefully surrounded by her family on Monday December 18, 2023. Born on October 10, 1930, Doris Eileen Kazarian (nee Wade) of Owen Sound was in her 94th year.
She was known for her kind and loving touch with a dash of spiciness. Doris was the beloved wife of the late Harry Kazarian Sr. They married in 1952 and raised their 7 children in the “big house” on 15th St. E. hill. After Harry passed in 1990, Doris continued to open their home to many family and friends creating lots of fond memories around that pool.Doris touched many lives with her kind and caring ways. She trained and worked as a Registered Nurse at the O.S. General and Marine hospital and then later for Grey Bruce Health Services. She was a member of the Catholic Women’s League and loved singing with the St. Marys’ church choir, which she did well into her 80’s. You could often find Doris sitting in the stands at the arena cheering at the various sporting events.
Doris is the proud mother of Michael Kazarian (Carolyn Nielsen), Paul Kazarian (Debbie),Dawnna Kazarian Keith (Wayne), Mark Kazarian (Lynne), Lisa MacLeod (Don), Maria Jones (Brian) and Peter Kazarian (Wanda). Survived by her twin sister Dorothy (Dix) Theobald, sister Frances McRae and sister-in-law Freda Wade.
Predeceased by her parents Ira and Edna Wade (nee Warmington), her siblings Elna Wade, Willard Wade, Helen Porter (Leslie), Marian Seminciew (Michael), Bruce Wade (Eleanor), Evelyn (Jean) Crawford (Pat), Marjorie (Rae) Lisle (Ross),and her brother -in-laws Graham McRae and James Theobald. Her life revolved around her 16 grandchildren, 27 great-grandchildren, and 2 great-great grandchildren. Doris took with her the memories of time spent with many nieces, nephews, and friends.
