Eric "Gordon" Maynard

Eric “Gordon” Maynard passed away peacefully Sunday, March 31, 2024, at Lee Manor, Owen Sound. Gordon was born in Sydenham Township, on November 24, 1931, and is survived by his oldest sister, Helen Maynard.
Gordon is also survived by many nieces and nephews and their families. He is predeceased by sisters, Elizabeth Crannie and Jean Burrows, nephew Bev Crannie and great-nephew Robert Burrows.
Family and friends are invited to visit on Thursday, April 11, 2024, at Brian E. Wood Funeral Home from 2 – 3 p.m. A Memorial funeral service will follow at the funeral home at 3 p.m.
The family would like to extend their deepest appreciation to the exceptional care provided by Dr. Van Zyle, Dr. Veenstra and the staff at Lee Manor. Gordon spent most of his 92 years of life living at the family farm and the transition to living in a long-term care home was made so much smoother by the wonderful expertise of the care team/family at Lee Manor.
In keeping with Gordon’s wishes, cremation has taken place and interment will take place at a later date at Annan cemetery.
In lieu of flowers, memorial donations to Lee Manor or Second Chance Animal Sanctuary and Rescue are appreciated.
