Ernie passed away peacefully at Grey Bruce Health Services in Owen Sound on March 25, 2022.
Born in Peterborough on November 24, 1927, Ernest Schiarizza of Owen Sound, was in his 95th year.
Survived by his sister Betty Cavers of Peterborough, as well as his many nieces and nephews.
Predeceased by his siblings, Teresa Ridley, Hazel Marino, Helen English, Anne Gannon, Mary Marchen, Tony Schiarizza, Phyllis Holroyd and Grace Strauch.
To celebrate and honour Ernie’s life a Funeral Mass will be held at St. Mary’s and the Missions Catholic Church, 554 15th St. E, Owen Sound, on Tuesday, March 29th, 2022 at 12:00 p.m., followed by a reception. Arrangements are entrusted to Brian E. Wood Funeral Home, Owen Sound, 519-376-7492. In lieu of flowers, memorial donations to the Owen Sound Regional Hospital Foundation are appreciated and can be made through the funeral home.
