Peacefully early Thursday morning March 20, 2025 at Gateway Haven Nursing Home. Evan Steacy of Wiarton in his 96th year.
Predeceased by his beloved wife Grace (nee Carr).
Cherished father of the late Neil Steacy (2015), Paul Steacy and his spouse Kelly Mullan and Nora Walden and her husband Tom. Lovingly remembered by his two grandchildren Elizabeth Walden (Graham Clendenning) and Evan Walden.
Predeceased by his parents Richard and Sarah Steacy (nee Giddens), sister Elaine Lemcke and brother-in-law Karl Lemcke. Brother-in-law of the late Alan and Grace Carr and Florence and Jack Marshall. Fond uncle of the late Ted Carr, the late Laurie Wright, Bill Marshall, Bob Marshall, Mac Marshall and Doug Marshall.
The family would like to express their sincere appreciation to the management and staff at Gateway Haven Nusing Home for the exceptional care provided.
Family and friends are invited to call at the GEORGE FUNERAL HOME, Wiarton on Tuesday, March 25th from 6:00 to 8:00 p.m. The funeral service will be conducted from the funeral home on Wednesday, March 26th at 11:00 a.m. Expressions of remembrance to Bruce Peninsula Association for Community Living would be appreciated.
