It is with sadness that we announce the passing of Frances Bertha Hall (nee Dougherty) on Friday, April 29th, just two weeks after celebrating her 97th birthday. Beloved wife of the late Lewis Hall. She will be missed by her children, Rev. Annie Jannaway (Karie), Alison Jane, Franklin Hall (Jane), Heather Hall (Glenn), and Virginia Hall. Proud Gran to grandson, Andrew.
Frances was an avid gardener, watercolourist, reader, and genealogist. She was proud of her Irish heritage and spent years researching family histories.
The family wishes to thank the nursing staff at The Grenadier Retirement Residence in Toronto, and especially the wonderful care Frances received at Lake Shore Lodge, Toronto. Your loving support, good humour, and constant care were appreciated by the family.
There was a private funeral at Breckenridge Ashcroft Funeral Home, Owen Sound on Wednesday, May 4 at 1 pm. Donations to Operation Smile Canada or Effect Hope (The Leprosy Mission Canada) would be greatly appreciated.
