Gwendoth Barry (nee Carmichael) passed at Chapman House, Owen Sound, on Sunday, September 18, 2022. Cherished wife of 58 years to Earl Barry of Williamsford. Proud mother of John Barry (Jenn Hanson) of New Hamburg and Michael Barry (Denica) of Hanover. Doting grandmother of Ian (Samantha), Jessica, Riley, Laurel (Damon), Andrea, and Mitchell. Survived by her siblings Ivan Carmichael (Ada), Elizabeth Weaver, and sister-in-law Joanne Howell (Dave), and many nieces and nephews.
Predeceased by her parents Henry and Elizabeth Carmichael (nee Watson), siblings Lloyd Carmichael (Ruth) and Lorraine Farrell (Richard), and brother-in-law Charles Weaver.
Gwen will be remembered for her love of nature, her passion for the environment, and her devotion to her family and community.
Cremation has taken place and arrangements have been entrusted to the Garafraxa Hill Funeral Home, 251 Garafraxa St., Chatsworth. A come and go Celebration of Life service for Gwendoth will be held in the funeral home chapel on Saturday, October 1, from 2:00 – 4:00 pm, with refreshments being served.
