Passed away peacefully, with family at his side, at Grey Gables, Markdale, Monday, September 27, 2021. Harold Emerson Johnston of Markdale, in his 90th year.
Beloved husband of the late Jane Johnston (Russell). Dear father of Pauline Johnston (Tim Wilton) and David Johnston (Jennifer Macdonald) all of Markdale.
Loving grandfather of Kate and Ellen Wilton, Nichola and Liam Johnston.
Brother-in-law of Margaret Johnston, Ken Russell (Donna) and Lois Sewell. Remembered by his nieces, nephews, extended family, and friends.
Predeceased by parents William & Margaret (Acheson) Johnston, brothers George and Jim, brothers & sisters-in-law Jean Johnston (Whalen), the Russell family: Ivan, May, Verna, Walter, Don, Elmer, Ernie, Burton, and Maurice.
A graveside service will be held at Markdale Cemetery, Thursday, October 7, 2021 at 11:00 AM. All are welcome. Please RSVP to May Funeral Home at 519-986-3310 to register your attendance.
