Heather Dianne Esther Hamel

Passed away peacefully at Grey Bruce Health Services, Owen Sound, on January 27, 2023. Born in Hanover on February 1, 1958, Heather Dianne Esther Hamel of Owen Sound was in her 65th year.
Cherished daughter of Kathleen Hamel and the late Orville Hamel. Loving mom of Venetia Paquette (Mike), Justin Cawthorne (Sasha Kotzeff) and Katlyn Cawthorne. Proud grandma of Matthew, Mackenzie, Marcus, Payton and Jaycee. Dear sister of Patricia Thompson, David Hamel (Brenda), Bev Hamel and Katharine Hamel (Dave Fallis). Heather will also be dearly missed by her friend Dave Brueckman, friend Rodney Cawthorne, and by lots of nieces, nephews and friends.
Visitation will be held at Brian E. Wood Funeral Home, 250 14th St. W., Owen Sound, 519-376-7492, on Friday, February 3, 2023, from 2:00 – 5:00 p.m. A private graveside service will be held at the Hanover Cemetery later in the spring.
