Peacefully at the Summit Place Residence in Owen Sound, on Saturday evening, April 16th, 2022, he was 4 days short of his 93rd birthday.
James Albert “Bert” Morrison, of Owen Sound, at the age of 92 years. Dearly loved husband of the late Elfreda Mae Morrison (nee Smith) for 64 years. Loving father of Carol Ann Carson, of Shallow Lake, Roy Morrison (Marcia) and Laurie Shortt (John), Linda Clay (Leith), all of Owen Sound and father-in-law of Pat Brown, of Kemble. Proud grandfather of 8 grandchildren and 9 great-grandchildren. Bert is survived by siblings; Howard Morrison, Barb Tomes and Elizabeth Hardy and sister-in-law Barb Monkman. Bert will be sadly missed by his many nieces and nephews, family and friends.
Predeceased by his parents James and Agnes Morrison, and his daughter Patricia Brown, son-in-law Bev Carson and his siblings Roy Monkman and Dorothy Ouellette.
A Funeral Service for Bert Morrison will be held at Brian E. Wood Funeral Home, 250 – 14th Street West, Owen Sound, Ontario N4K 3X8 (519) 376-7492), on Friday April 22nd, 2022 at 11:00 a.m. with Rev. Kristal McGee officiating. Visitation one hour prior to service. Interment in Greenwood Cemetery.
