Jim passed away peacefully with his loving family by his side at the Grey Bruce Health Services in Owen Sound, on Wednesday, April 13, 2022. Born on October 22, 1932 in Amabel Township, Ontario, James Wesley Cruickshank, of Allenford, was in his 90th year. Dearly loved husband of Marjorie Cruickshank (nee Kerr) for 61 years. Loving father of Timothy Cruickshank and Nancy Young (Michael), both of South Bruce Peninsula. Proud grandfather Andrew (Brianna), Alannah (Harry), Rachael (Kurt) and great-grandfather of Isla and Levi and one on the way. Dear brother of Jack Cruickshank (late Carol), Robert “Bob” Cruickshank (Eileen) and brother-in-law of Pat Waterton (late Glynn). Jim will be missed by many nieces, nephews, family and friends. Predeceased by his parents, Thorold and Jean Cruickshank. Jim was passionate about farming. He loved gardening and enjoyed his time at Gould Lake. Jim retired after 30 years of service at PPG Glass Plant. A Funeral Service for Jim will be held at the Hepworth Baptist Church, 159 Queen Street West, Hepworth on Monday, April 18, 2022 at 11:00 a.m. with Pastor Jamie Simkins officiating. Spring interment in Zion Cemetery, Hepworth. Arrangements are entrusted to Brian E. Wood Funeral Home, Owen Sound, 519 376 7492.
