James "Jim" Gordon Thomson

Peacefully with family by his side, at Chapman House Hospice in Owen Sound on Sunday, July 28, 2024. Born on Saturday, July 14, 1945, James “Jim” Gordon Thomson of Bognor, at the age of 79.
Beloved husband and best friend of Ann Thomson (nee Martin). Loving father of Scott Thomson (Helen) of Milton, and Lindsay Thomson (Nick Simonetta) of Tara. Special grandpa of Emily and Hannah Thomson, and Martin and Viola Simonetta. Jim will be remembered by his family and friends.
Predeceased by his parents Eugene and Viola Thomson and his sister Sharon Reid (Darwin).
Jim’s family wishes to extend their heartfelt thank you to all the staff on 4-6 at Brightshores Health System, Owen Sound, and Chapman House Hospice for their exemplary care for Jim during his final days.
Visitation will be held at Brian E. Wood Funeral Home, Owen Sound, 519-376-7492 on Thursday, August 1, 2024 from 2-4 and 6-8 p.m. A funeral service to celebrate Jim’s life will be held at the funeral home on Friday, August 2, 2024 at 1 p.m. with Pastor Michael Henkel officiating. For those unable to attend in person, the service will be livestreamed and a recorded version will be posted online. Interment will take place in McLean’s Cemetery, Bognor.
