IRONMONGER, James Russel ‘Jim’ suddenly as a result of a motor vehicle accident on Thursday, July 29, 2021. Jim Ironmonger of Wiarton in his 87th year. Beloved husband and best friend of Dorothy (nee Winch) for 64 years. Cherished father of Guy and his wife Kathy of Wiarton, Gord and his wife Kim of Georgian Bluffs, Wanda Hepburn and her husband Brent of Wiarton, Brad and his wife Sally of Georgian Bluffs, Karen Bridge of Wiarton, Jackie Stark and her husband Pat of Hepworth and Lynda Cayley of Wiarton. Much loved grandfather of 19 and great grandfather of 29 (just because two fell in love). Dear brother of Bonnie Hemstock (Lewis pre) of Dobbinton, June Stewart (Gary pre) of Wiarton and Gladys Urbshott (Robert pre) of Guelph and brother-in-law of Connie Winch (Norman pre) of Hamilton, Mavis Winch (Elgin pre) of Williamsford and Helen Winch of Wiarton. Missed by nieces, nephews and many friends. Jim and Dorothy were also very influential in the lives of their many foster children. Predeceased by parents Annie (nee Mole) and Jack Ironmonger and brother George.
Family and friends may call at the Wiarton Propeller Club, Edward Street, Wiarton on Wednesday from 2:00 to 4:00 and 7:00 to 9:00 p.m. All those wishing to attend must RSVP through Jim’s page on the funeral home website. Masks must be worn and social distancing respected.
A private family funeral will be conducted.
Friends are welcome to attend the graveside interment service on Thursday at 3:00 p.m. at the Hillcrest Cemetery, Tara. Social distancing must be respected.
