Peacefully with family by her side at Lee Manor Nursing Home on Tuesday February 4, 2025. Born in Nova Scotia on December 12, 1930, Jean Estelle Curley (nee Spencer) of Owen Sound, was in her 95th year.
Beloved wife of the late Frank Curley. Loving mother of the late Paul Curley (Shelley) of Owen Sound, Mary Curley (late Tom Rowe) of Owen Sound, Rose Heathers (late Steve) of Owen Sound, Michael Curley (Lynn) of The Farm, Joy Farrow (late Paul Agnew) of Wasaga Beach, Kathy Sim (Don) of Tara, Carolyn Towle of Stony Plain, Alberta and Donna Cottenie (Tony) of Williamsford. Cherished grandma of 19 grandchildren and 29 great- grandchildren. Dear sister of Pauline Horsburg (Allan) and Sylvia Gazzola (late Aldo) and sister in-law Betty Curley. Jean will also be missed by many nieces, nephews and friends.
Predeceased by her parents Percy and Edith Spencer, by her siblings Millie McPhee (Dan), George Spencer (Rita) and Doreen Raco (Ed).
Visitation will be held at Brian E. Wood Funeral Home, 250 14th St. W., Owen Sound, 519-376-7492, on Friday February 7, 2025 from 6-8 p.m with Parish Prayers at 5:30 p.m. Funeral Mass will be held at St. Mary’s & The Missions Catholic Church, 554 15th St E, Owen Sound, on Saturday, February 8, 2025 at 11:00 a.m., with Fr. Luc Payette officiating, followed by a reception in the Parish Hall. Interment will take place in the spring at St. Michael’s Cemetery, Irish Block.
